Mindfulness & Meditation
What is Mindfulness Meditation?
Mindfulness is an invitation to slow down, to train the mind to be present. It is about being completely in the now, noticing this second, how you feel, what you think, what you want, without criticism or judgment.
Mindfulness is simply a method of mental training of presence and gentleness.
When we notice what we are thinking and feeling in the moment, we can grow our capacity to respond to life more appropriately, more skillfully.
Mindful awareness – or mindfulness – spontaneously arises out of this BEING mode. It’s when we learn to purposefully pay attention to the present moment, without judgment, to things as they actually are.
It’s a practice of meeting life ‘just as it is’…more and more and more, again and again and again.
An art of resting, softening into presence with an allowing befriending, curious, spacious attitude of mind. Meeting life in this way cultivates skillful ways in navigating and responding to life more intimately, more lightly, more kindly.

Susan Offers regular 6-8 week Mindfulness Meditation Courses online and in person.
Mindfulness Meditation is the practice of 'clearly seeing' what is alive in our body, mind and heart. It is the invitation to actively turn towards our direct experience with a sense of care, compassion and curiosity. This practice cultivates the development of wisdom and insight in how we relate to the 'here and now' - which can lead to more fluidity and intimacy with the unfolding nature of experience.
Susan’s courses will teach you to develop a focused and embodied attention, self awareness, emotional intelligence, and a greater sense of ease and well-being. You will learn a variety of mindfulness meditations and practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily activities at work, home and in relationships.
The course will include:
Training in meditation, developing awareness of breath, body, feelings and thoughts.
Managing stress and learning how to shift from reaction to response.
Recognizing and letting go of unhelpful habitual thoughts and mind states.
Exploring, understanding and working with a range of emotional experience.
The course requires a weekly commitment as well as short daily home practice, each week explores a different theme of Mindfulness. Handouts and a guided meditation will be provided each week to support your home practice.
Each session is a combination of a short talk, guided meditation/mindfulness practice, a checking in which involves group participation/feedback/sharing is most welcome (yet not compulsory!), concluding each week with a Q & A.
Please wear comfortable clothing.
